Hello all! Today's story will be told as explanations of pictures I've taken. Well, except for this one story that I have to share. I'm playing with the idea of manifesting things, I've read a bit about it. Probably I've read just enough to be dangerous. Lol. But I already have some intriguing results. One of the best realizations is that for the past 2 years before Costa Rica I've had really challenging jobs and I had been through 3 teenagers and had one left. I was used to stress. I worked with people with diagnosed and medicated anxiety disorders. I used to have a little list of basic things a person can do to help de-escalate stress levels. One of them was having them take a little time out and "go to your happy place", and have them describe it. I would do it myself too, when the crisis was over and I could wind down, when I was at the dentist sitting in the chair, etc... I always said: I'm going to my happy place. I'm going to the beach in Costa Rica! And look at me now!! Co-incidence? I don't know. But instead of being in my trials and going to my happy place, I'm in my happy place and I visit my trials. That's pretty amazing.
Here are some pictures from the last week.

I'm sorry, I'm not that good at organizing with pictures. This was our walk yesterday, going to a friend's place because they have a good view of the sun setting over the water.

I love this picture of Ron, it includes him, the beach, and reflections. Plus, if you zoom in on the picture - his shirt says "Redemption" and looks pretty cool.
By the time we got further down the beach, the colors were already starting to change. It's funny how the east side of the beach always looks different than the west side of the beach, as the sun is setting.

I suppose it doesn't look like much, but I loved how setting sun was hitting this baby palm tree. And it represents the huge variety of palm trees here.

It's a very zen thing to watch the water and sky change colors before disappearing into the darkness where the stars take over. There is nothing quite like it. And for all the time we've spent here, this was one of those rare nights where we could sit still and just take it all in, before walking home via the beach (stopping to gaze at the stars).

This is my black and white segment. It's been my focus this week, after spending 5 months enjoying all the colors of the sunset and all the different shades of green in the jungle.
The next 3 pictures are what I took during the 5 minute walk to the local grocery store. Changing to black and white alters how I look at things. And I always value a tweak to my perspective because it helps me feel more aware. It's not just colors, it's angles, it's lighting, it's contrast. Click on each one, see it up close.

These last ones are just my fun time. I've been busy. I made 4 new friends yesterday, 3 of which were completely unrelated. All of them pretty random and very fun! For example: Only in Samara can we meet a couple with questions about our small town, who are just standing on the street looking for someone who speaks English. Then we are helping them find a hotel and watching the sunset at their hotel, and making plans to show them where to snorkel.
