Well, the lack of mirrors with good lighting. But that's my bathroom, not all of Costa Rica.



So..... nothing. Except the lack of my favorite people that didn't get to come with me. Ironically, some people I talk to more. Like Ella, and Liz. I think I text Jaden more too. I was going to write about daily life in Samara, but I've been kind of boring lately. Except that I glue gunned 2 small Christmas trees. One looks ok. The other one is more like a Charlie Brown went to Costa Rica tree. But I can say that I tried. So it takes the sting out of my failure at artistic expression. I will post pictures soon, so you can laugh with me. Right now, I'm too pooped to pop. I was busy being extra super nice to my Mom today. Decorating for Christmas and making dinner and all that good stuff.

Love will win.

   The more I write, the more I see the intricate psychology of writers. I love my writing community, and knowing that I belong.   What should I write about today? Isn't it supposed to be important to have something of value to say?? What has been my latest travels? That's always a favorite topic of mine. The last travel was the 7-8 hour drive from Apple Valley in California over to the coast and go north to Santa Barbara. Oh, it was such a nice day for a drive. We had the car packed perfectly. The ocean was beautiful. We saw some cool things like the city of Los Angeles, and a ship so big that in the distance Ron thought it was an island. I saw another gorgeous moon rise quickly followed by a sunset. The Joshua trees turned into weird shaped things that were filled in by a black permanent marker. Tuckered out by 9am??

  I'm dedicating this post to Rhiannon, who says one day she must come here. I got up, sat at the back porch and had some chamba chai, and jumped on my bike. It was just after 6am when we rolled out of the arched gate to the house, which was covered in flowering vines.   Getting up before 6am is wonderful. March is summer time here, and it gets so dang hot in the middle of the day! Everything is quieter and cooler at 6am. I used to whine and moan about getting up early, but I've never had such a great incentive before. Plus, I don't work swing shifts until midnight either. That factors in too.   We got to the beach and the had already come up. Pity, because it's amazing watching the sky light up, then the sun emerge from behind the mountains. It was low tide, which means tomorrow morning will be a good time to snorkel. It's going to be so much fun, I can't wait. The hardest part about snorkeling is reminding Ron that I like shallow water, not going half way...
