Welcome to the jungle

Yesterday was a full day. I did some Christmas stuff, and went for a bike ride, and went for a scooter ride to the next beach over. I was wiped out by dinner, but tried to help Ron as he made us sushi. Good sushi. It was quite lovely.
I believe that life is about Moments. Sometimes it's also about un-moments. The things that didn't happen. Or when you have expectations and things turn out quite different.
I kind of expected today to be another quiet day. Until my husband says: let's go! And so we go. Good thing I brought my camera, how else do you begin to portray a trip in Costa Rica. We were gone all morning. So here are some pictures, including puddle pictures, which is all from our ride this morning.
The view from anywhere is fantastic. I saw so many wonderful things. So many gigantic trees. Such terribly awful roads. Then we saw a for sale sign that led up a small mountain, with a grown over road. So we checked it out. Butterflies all over. Earlier I saw all orange ones, all yellow ones are common, and a new one that is all pale green, but almost looks almost lavender when it flaps it's wings. The butterflies on the mountain were smaller, but very slow and cute. We were in the heart of the jungle! Vines hanging off the trees, plants of all kinds. I was looking for Tarzan and I saw a coati run across the old road above us, which was freaking cool. It's like a raccoon-ish creature as big as a dog. It was so fast and so quiet that Ron missed it. But it was close, and amazing. The view from up there is outstanding. We could see the Pacific ocean in the distance. And it was SO quiet. I've never been so aware of the sound of my own footsteps. Ron said it felt like being in the Avatar movie. So many shades of green. So far from the rest of life. The air felt so good! I could walk up a steep hill and not be out of breath.
Then we saw 3 birds called crested caracaras. So cool. Crazy beaks. I posted a picture on Facebook.
Then we went to have another lunch on the beach. And the sun came out. It's interesting how the ocean changes colors when the sun shines on it. How the water changes color from one side of the bay to the other, based on lighting. How do I go back to "normal" living after this?? Someone please tell me.
